Moses

Upper left-hand quadrant: The Holy One then said: "Because you showed such compassion in tending the flock of a mortal, as you live, you shall become shepherd of Israel, the flock that is Mine." Exod. R. 2:2

Upper right-hand quadrant: …as Moses put forth his hand to grab the gold, Gabriel came down and shoved it to the side, so that Moses not only seized the coal but also but the hand with the coal into his mouth and burned his tongue. Exod. R. 1:26.

Lower left-hand quadrant: "Thinkest thou to kill me, as thou didst kill the Egyptian? Exod. R. 1:30.

Lower right-hand quadrant: The Lord said to him, "What is that in your hand?" And he replied, "A rod." He said, "Cast it on the ground." He cast it on the ground and it became a snake; and Moses recoiled from it. Exod 4:2-3.
